DESIG UNÀNIME – ORIGINAL WORK

This work is inspired by the images that appear between the chapters of the food and photography book Unánime by Bernd H. Knöller and the author of these words, Xavier Mollà.

The six images that make up the cover and the chapter separators are made with a fusion of techniques, specifically gum bichromate and cyanotype. These are two of the many techniques used by the photography movement known as pictorialism, which was dominant in the second half of the 19th century and which produced some extraordinary images and photographers. Notable international pictorialist photographers include: Julia Margaret Cameron, Alfred Stieglitz, Robert Demachy, Alvin Langdon Coburn, Clarence H. White, Peter Henry Emerson and Henry Peach Robinson; from the Iberian peninsula we can mention Joaquim Pla Janini from Tarragona; José Ortiz Echagüe, from Madrid, and Paco Mora Carbonell from Alcoy.

This aesthetic movement began its decline with the emergence of the new aesthetic and artistic vanguards of the interwar period.

Coinciding with the presentation of Unánime, I have selected two of the six images and presented them in this folder as an exclusive edition, numbered in Roman numerals and with a print run of 20 copies signed and authenticated by the artist.

It is made completely handmade and has only 20 folders numbered and signed by the author.
